To start with a small office cleaning job, we prefer to divide the job into daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks to make things simpler. This is because not every place or area will need to be cleaned every day, but some parts of your office such as toilets and floors cannot do without daily cleaning.

Daily Small Office Cleaning – Checklist & How we do it

Day-to-day cleaning of the office will ensure that your workplace stays spotless and free of dust and germs that might otherwise discourage your visitors and make your staff sick.

This is everything we do in daily office cleaning:

Decluttering

We start with decluttering. Our team will organise everything in your office, collect and put loose items in their place and clear clutter, including large items of garbage. We’ll also collect dirty dishes, remove trash from desks, floors and common areas and put them where they belong.

Dusting & Vacuuming

We clean from top to bottom, starting from the ceiling and walls because any dirt falling from above will gather on the floors, so we do floors at the end.

This step will cover dusting or vacuuming walls, fixtures, blinds, paintings, and all other vertical surfaces. We wipe down all horizontal surfaces, cabinets, drawers, desks, etc. using a microfiber cloth to trap all the loose dirt and dust.

Floor Cleaning

Floors are often the dirtiest part of a workplace and they need to be cleaned routinely and thoroughly. We recommend daily cleaning of office floors and hard surfaces. We do this in the following two steps:

1. Sweep/Vacuum – Thoroughly vacuum the floors to remove all dirt, dust & debris

2. Wet mop hard floors either manually using a wet mop and bucket with a TGA-approved disinfectant solution or using an industrial floor cleaner/scrubber machine particular for large commercial floors.

Carpet Cleaning

On a daily basis, we recommend vacuuming carpets, doormats and all covered floors around the office. Any stains or spills can be spot cleaned to not let stains become permanent.

Kitchen Cleaning

Daily cleaning of kitchens will help maintain hygiene and keep germs away.

Wipe down kitchen surfaces and appliances (exteriors of refrigerator, microwave, etc.) daily. In addition, we will wash the sink, sweep and mop the floors and other hard surfaces.

Common Areas Cleaning

Other than cleaning the floors in common areas such as the reception, pantry and corridors, we wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces and fixtures as well.

Private Office & Conference Rooms

Every office has private cabins and cubicles and one or more meeting rooms, which are equally important to clean daily.

We vacuum and wet mop the floors, which is followed by cleaning desks, tables and other flat surfaces with a cleaning solution and wet mop. We also vacuum and clean sofa, chairs, and fixtures. In addition, our cleaners will dust the backs of chairs and armrests and clean dry erase boards if any.

Employees Area Cleaning

The primary area of the office, i.e. the area where your employees sit and work, will also need to be cleaned daily. Our general office cleaning duties include dusting desks, phones, monitors, keyboards, and chairs, etc.

This is followed by wet mopping desks and disinfecting high-use objects such as shared phones, keyboards, etc. with a TGA-approved disinfectant and a microfiber cloth. We also dust or wipe down other surfaces, window sills, doors & more.

Bathrooms & Toilets

Daily cleaning of bathrooms and toilets is non-negotiable.

This must include cleaning floors, tiles, sinks, counters, cabinets, soap dispensers, towel holders, and dryers. We use disinfectant spray to disinfect everything. In addition, we’ll deep clean toilets and urinals, restock supplies including toilet paper, paper, soap, etc.

Recycle bins

We remove trash, empty recycling bins and replace liners every day.

Touchpoint Disinfection

All touchpoints and high-traffic areas around the office are disinfected daily, even multiple times a day, depending on the traffic.

Weekly Small Office Cleaning

Weekly cleaning of an office is focused on larger objects and cleaning of areas that are otherwise missed in daily cleaning. These may include the interior of appliances, vents, ceilings, fans, and windows, scrubbing toilets, removing marks, etc. Here’s how we do it.

Kitchen

Empty the refrigerator, remove old food and expired items and clean the interior. We also empty and clean all cabinets in the kitchen and also clean and polish stainless steel surfaces.
